        GOVERNMENT FURNITURE

          Support categories 
        
        Military and DOD civilian personnel 
          authorized to occupy off-post economy housing will receive permanent 
          issue of kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, refrigerator, range, and 
          washer/dryer.� The extent of other furnishings support depends on 
          the 
          Joint Federal Travel Regulation 
          (JFTR) Weight Allowance under 
          which they are traveling. 
           
          
          Limited JFTR - Personnel traveling with LJFTR will receive full 
          furniture support for the duration of their tour. 
          
           
          Elective JFTR - Personnel traveling under EJFTR who elect to 
          ship their household goods will receive 90-day loaner furniture.� 
          Those who elected partial or no household goods shipment will receive 
          long-term furniture support for those items not shipped.� The 
          Household Inventory list will be used to determine which items are 
          authorized. 
          
           
          Full JFTR - Inbound personnel with FJFTR are authorized loaner 
          furniture for 90 days or until their household goods shipment arrives.�
           
          
           
          DOD Civilian Personnel (excluding contractors) - DOD civilians 
          living in either private rental housing or in government quarters are 
          entitled to the same furniture support as long as they were hired in 
          the Continental United States or hired in Europe and receive Living 
          Quarters Allowance.� Contractors are not authorized furnishings 
          support. 
           
          Application for furnishings should be made at your housing office.� 
          A minimum of four working days is required for the scheduling of 
          deliveries or pick-ups.� Residents will establish a hand receipt 
          at the time of their quarters assignment.� A joint inventory by 
          the Housing Inspector and resident will be conducted at the assignment 
          inspection.� Residents should inspect furnishings carefully 
          documenting in specific detail all stains or other damage to avoid 
          being held responsible at turn in.
