leather items, and stores are not hard to find.� The main
cluster of stores are located in the streets between Piazza San
Marco and the bridge at Rialto.�
Glass is a specialty of Venice, and is made on the island of Murano.�
You can purchase Venetian glass at one of the many stalls lining
Venice's narrow streets.� Venetian masks (typically made for
Carnival) are another great souvenir buy.� These masks vary in
style and ornamentation, but all are great purchases.� Make
sure you shop around the various stores and side stalls to get the
best prices.� The most expensive prices will be on the bridge
at Rialto, and at stores very close to Piazza San Marco.� Other
typical Venetian souvenir products include velvet slippers and
gondolier's hats.
