Portugal
often plays second fiddle to it's Iberian neighbor,
Spain, and I don't know why.� While I
certainly enjoy the history and varied regions of Spain, I also
think Portugal is a country that must not be missed.�
Portugal has its own rich and unique culture that developed in
geographic isolation from its much visited neighbor.� This
seafaring nation boasts great food, friendly people, and is the
cheapest destination in Western Europe.� It is for these
reasons that Portugal may well be the best value destination in
Western Europe.

the center, near-desert in the Alentejo region, and glamorous
